Bahram Hajou
He  was born in 1952 at Derun in Syria. His journey to Munster (Germany), where he has lived for more than thirty years, has been complicated. In the turbulent 1970s, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad. From there he travelled via Prague to East Berlin and from there to West Berlin and then to Munster where he began to study archaeology in 1976 and then fine art. He graduated from the Munster branch of the Academy of Fine Arts in Dusseldorf in 1987. He has been a freelance artist since 1989.
